Energy Independence, Climate Action, & Protecting Working Communities

Climate change is not a distant threat—it is an existential crisis impacting our health, our infrastructure, and our economy right now. For decades, our forced reliance on fossil fuels has allowed corporate polluters to rake in record profits while working-class neighborhoods bear the brunt of extreme weather, environmental degradation, and rising utility bills. But for too long, politicians have offered a false choice: either protect the environment or protect our economy. The truth is that an unplanned, abrupt disruption away from traditional energy sources would crush working families and send utility costs through the roof. We need an energy policy rooted in scientific reality, public health, and economic stability—one that transitionally moves us toward total energy independence without treating vulnerable communities as collateral damage.

I am running for Congress to lead a practical, aggressive transition to a clean energy future that puts American workers first. I will fight for historic investments to modernize our electric grid, expand large-scale energy storage, and scale up renewable power like solar, wind, and geothermal. As we responsibly phase down fossil fuel dependence over time, we must hold corporate polluters legally and financially accountable while fiercely protecting frontline communities. Most importantly, our energy workers will not be left behind; I support robust federal job training programs, ironclad wage protections, and direct pathways into stable, unionized clean-energy careers. We can protect both our planet and our payrolls, building a diversified energy system that powers our nation with dignity, resilience, and justice.
