Immigration Reform: Solutions Over Political Games
Our national immigration system is fundamentally broken—not because of the families seeking a better life, but because career politicians have spent decades weaponizing the border as a political prop instead of delivering actual solutions. Right now, our enforcement strategy relies on state-sponsored cruelty, forced family separations, and the mass incarceration of asylum seekers just to generate cable news headlines. This manufactured chaos ignores the reality that millions of undocumented immigrants are already deeply woven into our communities, serving as the literal backbone of our workforce while giant corporations exploit their status to drive down wages for everyone. We can absolutely be a nation that secures its borders while fiercely honoring our heritage as a nation of immigrants, but it requires abandoning political theater in favor of operational sanity.
I am running for Congress to achieve comprehensive, common-sense immigration reform that balances smart security with unwavering human rights. I am fighting for a functional border strategy driven by modern technology, proper court staffing, and humane processing, alongside permanent protections for our Dreamers and a clear, legal pathway to citizenship for long-term residents. We must completely overhaul and fund our backlogged immigration courts to end the years of legal limbo that exploit families and disrupt local economies. True economic security means implementing strict labor protections that penalize predatory corporations who exploit vulnerable workers to pad their own bottom lines. A strong, confident nation does not define itself through cruelty; it is time for a system that is lawful, secure, fair, and rooted in human dignity.
